Whether you're exploring colleges with D-I, D-II, D-III, or club athletic teams, there’s no need for you to use a recruitment website or agency. If you’re thinking about it, I would particularly avoid Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) and National Scouting Report (NSR). They aren’t recognized by many college coaches, and creating a student-athlete profile should never cost you money. The best way to get on a coach's radar is to:

  1. Go to the college's website and fill out their recruitment questionnaire; and/or
  2. Contact the coach directly via email. Introduce yourself, provide some of your athletic stats, attach a schedule if you have one, and request to set up an in-person or Zoom meeting so you can learn more about their athletic program(s).

Be aware that NCAA D-I and D-II coaches are restricted regarding when they can reach out to prospective students and may not be able to offer official visits until a later date. If you really feel the need to create a profile using an agency or website, use BeRecruited—it's free!
